  • 1 cup of dates If the dates are not very soft, please soak in hot water for 10 minutes to soften.
  • 2 cups of Seed and Fruit Mix Enjoy Life Foods
  • 1/2 cup of mini chocolate chips Enjoy Life Foods
  • 1 cup of gluten-free quick oats
  • 1 scoop of vanilla protein powder optional
  • 2 tablespoons of sunflower seed butter or your favorite nut butter
  • 1 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • 1 teaspoon of pure vanilla extract
  • 1/4 teaspoon of salt
  • 1 teaspoon of orange zest
  • 2 tablespoons of water

  • 1/4 cup of chocolate mini chips
  • 1/8 teaspoon of ground cinnamon
  • orange zest sprinkle on top

  • If your dates are not very soft, please soak them in hot water for 10 minutes.
  • In your food processor puree the dates.
  • Add the vanilla, cinnamon, salt, orange zest, protein powder, seed butter and water to the dates. Puree until combined.
  • Add the Seed and Fruit Mix, gluten-free oats and mini chocolate chips and puree to fully combine all the ingredients.
  • Roll mixture into 1-inch balls. (I like to use a cookie scoop) Place the balls on a parchment paper lined cookie sheet or plastic container.
  • In a glass measuring cup microwave the mini chocolate chips for 2 minutes, stirring half way through. Add the 1/8 teaspoon of cinnamon to the chocolate sauce and stir.
  • Using a spoon drizzle chocolate sauce over bites and sprinkle with orange zest (optional).
  • Place the cookie sheet in the freezer for 20 minutes.
  • Transfer bites into a plastic storage bag and keep in the refrigerator or freezer.
  • Try not to eat them all. Enjoy!
