Paleo Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Muffins

Paleo Chocolate Chip Pecan Pie Muffins. All the flavors you love from pecan pie in a muffin with a pecan crumble topping. Gluten-free, dairy-free and no refined sugar.

  • 2 cups almond flour
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon gluten-free baking powder
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • 1 tablespoon pure vanilla extract
  • 1/2 cup pure maple syrup
  • 1 tablespoon coconut oil melted
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 1/2 cup dairy-free chocolate chips I like Enjoy Life Foods
  • 1/4 cup chopped dates
  • 1 cup chopped pecans


  • 5 tablespoons almond flour
  • 2 tablespoons chopped pecans diced
  • 1 teaspoon cinnamon
  • pinch salt
  • 3 tablespoons coconut sugar
  • 2 tablespoons  coconut oil melted


  • Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
  • In a large bowl mix together eggs, maple syrup, cinnamon and pure vanilla extract.
  • Add almond flour, salt, baking powder, and baking soda to the wet ingredients. Mix until fully combined.
  • Add chocolate chips, chopped pecans and dates to batter until fully combined.
  • Scoop batter into a lined muffin pan. The batter will be thick. (I like to use an ice cream scoop.)
  • Combine all the topping ingredients in a small bowl. Stir until fully combined.
  • Sprinkle a tablespoon of the topping on each muffin.
  • Bake for 25 minutes.
  • Allow to cool before serving.
  • Store in an airtight container.
