Add the gluten-free broth to the roux (butter mixture), stirring constantly with a whisk, and bringing to a boil.
Boil for 1 minute and season with salt, pepper, and thyme (optional).
Serve warm and enjoy!
Notes
To Use Turkey Drippings: Cool to room temperature and strain to remove fat/gristle. Taste before adding to the other ingredients. Add water to dilute the flavor if it's too strong.
To Make a Cornstarch Slurry: Whisk together 2 tablespoons of cold water and 3 tablespoons of cornstarch until smooth. Use in place of the gluten-free flour, if needed.
To Store: Keep leftovers in an airtight container in the refrigerator. Reheat in the microwave or stovetop.
To Freeze: Portion into freezer-safe containers and freeze for 4-6 months.
