Creamy hot spinach dip is the best appetizer for any occasion. I bring this hot cheesy dip to every party I go to, and it’s always a crowd-pleaser. This easy spinach dip is made with simple ingredients and baked to gooey perfection in 30 minutes.
Preheat the oven to 375ºF and grease an 8x8 baking dish.
Place the cream cheese and sour cream in a mixing bowl and use an electric mixer to whip until smooth.
Add the remaining ingredients (keeping 1 cup of mozzarella aside) and use a spatula to combine all the ingredients.
Transfer the mixture to the baking dish and top with the remaining mozzarella cheese.
Bake for 25-30 minutes or until golden brown on top.
Notes
Use a mix of cheeses for depth of flavor: cream cheese for creaminess, mozzarella for gooeyness, and Parmesan for a nutty, salty punch.
If using frozen spinach in the recipe, make sure all of the water is removed from your spinach by using paper towels to squeeze and wring it out until most of the moisture is gone.
You can keep this hot spinach dip warm by adding it to a slow cooker on warm. Make sure to stir it occasionally.
Place the spinach dip in an airtight container or wrap the baking dish tightly in plastic wrap and refrigerate. It can be refrigerated for up to 4 days. This spinach dip is great to eat as a leftover because it can be eaten either hot or cold. It tastes delicious both ways!
