Moroccan Chicken
It’s all about the sauce, all the sauce…! Seriously, the sauce for this Moroccan Chicken is AMAZING! It brings me back to the memories of the unbelievable meals our friend, Mrs. Ameena, would make for our family. When I was a teen, my family hosted a Moroccan Family at the Naval War College for a year.
It was an amazing experience to be able to learn about the Moroccan culture first-hand from new friends. The center of any culture is food, and Mrs. Ameena cooked amazing Moroccan meals.
I knew that I wanted to try and recreate one of my favorite Moroccan dishes with Path Of Life’s Garbanzo Beans and Lentils. The blend of white and green garbanzo beans, green and red lentils, extra virgin olive oil, garlic and basil perfectly complement the flavors of the savory Morrocan sauce.
The Path of Life’s blend of organic brown rice and cooked organic red quinoa is a perfect accompaniment to the Morrocan Chicken dish. I love the combination of the quinoa and brown rice. It is seasoned lightly with salt and garlic and has both an excellent texture and flavor.
Path of Life makes nutritious side dishes that are super convenient for busy families. The side dishes heat in only 4 short minutes in their microwavable pouch. Path of Life products includes organic and natural frozen quinoa side dishes (my family was already a fan of their the Mediterranean and Southwest Quinoa before this review), all-natural frozen vegetable side dishes, organic frozen vegetables, organic frozen fruit, dark chocolate covered frozen fruit and organic smoothies.
Path of Life’s products are located in the freezer section of the grocery store. To find out more about Path of Life and where you can purchase their products please visit their website.
Don’t be intimidated by the exotic look of this dish. It really is a simple dish to make, especially with the help of Path of Life’s frozen all natural and organic vegetables. I bet you already have the ingredients to make this sauce in your pantry.
An aromatic blend of cinnamon, cumin, turmeric, garlic, and paprika. Not only is this dish super flavorful, but it has the added health benefits of turmeric. Simple ingredients combined to make an extraordinary culinary delight.

I want to make this recipe, but I’m allergic to lemon and other highly acidiic citrusfruits. What would be a good substitution for the lemon? Could it just be left out?
Hi Kimberly, we recommend using white wine or apple cider vinegar in place of the lemon juice and leaving the zest out. It provides that same acidity!
