Easy homemade taco seasoning made straight from the spices in your pantry. Naturally gluten-free and perfect for those following the Paleo or Whole30 Diet.
What spices do you need to make gluten-free, Paleo and Whole30 taco seasoning?
Being gluten-free I make my own taco meat seasoning. It’s so much healthier not having any extra additives (like MSG). I bet you even already have the spices you need in your pantry.
There are lots of versions of homemade taco seasoning and this is my family’s favorite flavor combination. Our family does not do spicy food, so this is a mild version of taco seasoning.
- cumin
- onion powder
- garlic powder
- paprika
- salt (I like to use Pink Himalayan Salt)
It does not get any easier than that! This taco seasoning blend makes enough for two pounds of ground meat. I have a family of 6 so I always make 2 pounds of ground beef or turkey we I make my taco meat.
If your family is not as large as mine you can always have leftovers or freeze the meat for later. You can also save half of the taco seasoning blend for later use. Just store in an airtight container or a ziplock bag.
I use this gluten-free taco seasoning for all my family’s favorite Mexican meals. Like these super easy gluten-free burrito bowls.
I also use it to make my gluten-free beef and cheese enchiladas.
Homemade taco seasoning is easy and economical. It’s naturally gluten-free and can be adjusted to your taste. This is the perfect gluten-free taco seasoning for those also following Paleo or the Whole30 diet.
