Gluten-Free Thanksgiving Dessert Recipes

Most of my holiday cooking prep is dedicated to my favorite gluten-free Thanksgiving recipes so that the big feast goes off without a hitch. But I’m not going to forget about the desserts, because things just wouldn’t feel complete without a big slice of pie!

These gluten-free Thanksgiving desserts are all so tasty and easy to make, and most of them have dairy-free ingredient swaps as well.

Gluten-Free Pie Recipes

Thanksgiving and pies go hand in hand, and these gluten-free recipes fill every fall craving. I use this gluten-free pie crust for most recipes, but this almond flour crust and graham cracker crust are easy options too!

  • Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pie: Nothing beats the classic pumpkin pie, and this recipe uses an easy-to-make Chex cereal crust.
  • Southern Gluten-Free Pecan Pie: Pecan pie is one option that’s always on our Thanksgiving dessert table. The filling is gooey and custardy, and it’s the perfect combination of salty and sweet. Sometimes I make two and add mini chocolate chips to the second pie.
  • Gluten-Free Apple Pie: This recipe is stuffed with perfectly spiced apples, baked inside of a flaky gluten-free crust. There are also dairy-free and vegan (egg-free) options.
  • Gluten-Free Dutch Apple Pie: Instead of the double crust pie, make this apple pie with a beautiful crumb topping. I really love the crunchiness and sweetness the streusel topping adds!
  • Gluten-Free Coconut Cream Pie: This easy pie is so creamy and has an easy coconut macaroon crust. It’s perfect for coconut lovers!
  • Crustless Pumpkin Pie: This crust-free pie is all about the best part–the creamy pumpkin pie filling!

Gluten-Free Cake Recipes

These gluten-free cakes and cheesecakes make great desserts for Thanksgiving feasts, because they’re easy to make and feed lots of people!

  • Gluten-Free Pumpkin Roll: This perfectly-spiced pumpkin cake is rolled up and filled with a tasty cream cheese frosting. It’s one of my favorites to make for the holiday because it’s just so good!
  • Gluten-free Apple Cake: Loaded with fresh apples, crunchy pecans, and covered in a buttery brown sugar glaze, this gluten-free cake recipe just screams fall!
  • Gluten-Free Pumpkin Bundt Cake: This bundt cake is one of my family’s favorites, so I’m always sure to make it for Thanksgiving. I think the maple vanilla glaze is everyone’s favorite part!
  • Gluten-Free Mini Cheesecakes: These mini cheesecakes are so easy to make and they’re the perfect size for each person! Rich cheesecake is nestled on an easy gluten-free graham cracker crust, and you can top them with your favorite toppings.
  • Gluten-Free Cinnamon Roll Cake: This cake has both the texture and the taste of a fresh gooey cinnamon roll, baked into a shareable cake that is just so delicious!
  • No-Bake Pumpkin Cheesecake: This cheesecake is super creamy and full of pumpkin flavor. Plus it’s a great make-ahead dessert, so it’s ready to bring along to any Thanksgiving celebrations.

Gluten-Free Dessert Bars Recipes

My favorite thing about these gluten-free desserts (besides the taste, of course) is how easy they are to make ahead, transport, and share for large gatherings.

  • Gluten-Free Pumpkin Bars: These pumpkin-y bars with cream cheese frosting are a delicious cross between a bar and cake. I love how convenient they are for parties.
  • Gluten-Free Cranberry Oatmeal Bars: These cranberry bars are one of my absolute favorite Thanksgiving desserts! I love the flavor combination of the tart cranberries, sweet dates, and oats. I’ve even been known to eat leftovers for breakfast!
  • Gluten-free Apple Pie Blondies: Soft and chewy blondies with a comforting apple pie flavor is the best way to make a shareable treat for Thanksgiving.
  • Gluten-Free Pumpkin Pie Bars: These pumpkin bars have the same pumpkin pie filling we all love, complete with a graham cracker crust. Being able to eat them with your hands makes this dessert just a little bit easier than a regular pie.
Gluten-Free Peanut Butter Balls

Easy Gluten-Free Pumpkin Desserts

Pumpkin is the flavor of fall, so it just wouldn’t feel right to have a gluten-free Thanksgiving dessert table without at least one of these recipes.

  • Gluten-Free Pumpkin Bread: This gluten-free pumpkin bread is so moist, full of pumpkin flavor, and it’s perfectly spiced. This easy recipe is also naturally dairy-free.
  • Gluten-free Pumpkin Muffins: Gluten-free flour and real pumpkin makes these muffins the perfect gluten-free treat.
  • Gluten-Free Pumpkin Bread Cookies: Just like my pumpkin bread, these cookies are super moist yet light and fluffy. Every bite is perfect!
  • Gluten-free Pumpkin Donuts: These baked pumpkin spice donuts have the best texture, and the maple cinnamon glaze is to die for. I love putting these out with the rest of the desserts, but I always hope there’s one left for breakfast the next day.
  • Gluten-free Pumpkin Peanut Butter Balls: Classic peanut butter balls get a fall makeover with pumpkin spice, and I go the extra step to make them look like tiny pumpkins. These are just too cute not to make every year!

Gluten-free Thanksgiving Desserts

I have so many other gluten-free dessert ideas that I love preparing for Thanksgiving, and it would be a shame to skip any of these classics.

  • Gluten-Free Apple Crisp: Apple crisp is one of the easiest desserts to make! I can’t get enough of the brown sugar oat crumble topping, and of course I top it with vanilla ice cream for the ultimate comfort dessert.
  • Gluten-free Pineapple Upside Down Cake: This nostalgic dessert just looks amazing during the holidays, with that beautiful pineapple and cherry “topping”. There’s always someone asking for the recipe!
  • Gluten-free Southern Bread Pudding: Gluten-free bread, raisins, a creamy custard, and homemade caramel sauce are all baked together to make this gooey, warm dessert.
  • Gluten-free Fruit Cake: I usually make this recipe around Christmas time, but it’s a great option for Thanksgiving too. Everything you love about a traditional fruit cake, but it’s totally gluten-free!
  • Gluten-free Cranberry Bread: This one-bowl quick bread is stuffed full of cinnamon, orange zest, and cranberries for a fresh and zingy flavor. The orange icing is optional but I highly recommend it!

I know I’m ready for Thanksgiving with all of these easy gluten-free desserts, and I hope they help fill out your holiday menu!

  1. I recently made the GF Apple Dapple Bundt Cake. I found smalll bundt cake pans at Tuesday morning, and the recipe was enough for four little bundt cakes and one big one. My grandchildren all have celiac so it’s great to find a new DELICIOUS recipe for a dessert they can pack in their lunch.

  2. Love your blog. I am new to gluten free I was just diagnosed with Celiac disease. Can’t wait to try them.
