Gluten-Free Easter Recipes

Gluten-Free Easter Recipes

When I’m planning Easter, I like to keep things simple and build a menu with a mix of favorites. Usually, that means a main dish everyone looks forward to, a few easy sides, something for brunch if we’re starting early, and a couple of appetizers to snack on while everything comes together.

That’s exactly how I’ve organized this list. You’ll find gluten-free Easter main dishes, brunch ideas, sides, and a few appetizers that are easy to mix and match depending on how you’re celebrating. Whether you’re hosting a big family meal or keeping it more low-key, these are the recipes I reach for when I want something reliable, stress-free, and still really special.

Tips for Planning a Gluten-Free Easter Menu

  • Prep what you can the day before, especially appetizers and side dishes, so you can enjoy the holiday without feeling rushed.
  • Build your menu around a simple main dish, then add a few easy sides and one or two appetizers to keep things manageable.
  • Choose a couple of make-ahead recipes like casseroles, baked pastas, or dips so you’re not doing everything at the last minute.
  • Stick with naturally gluten-free ingredients like potatoes, rice, vegetables, and proteins to simplify cooking and avoid extra substitutions.
  • Use one reliable gluten-free flour blend for any baking to keep your results consistent.

What I’d Make for Easter

If I’m hosting Easter, I like to keep things simple and balanced. I usually go with a main dish like baked ziti or chicken parmesan, a couple of easy sides like mashed potatoes and green beans, and something like dinner rolls to round it out.

I’ll always prep an appetizer ahead of time, like spinach dip or a charcuterie board, so there’s something to snack on while everything finishes cooking.

If you’re planning dessert too, I’ve rounded up all of my favorite gluten-free Easter desserts in a separate post. You’ll find everything from cakes to cookies to easy treats, so you can quickly choose something perfect to finish your Easter meal!
